For Meld or Reason

04Jan12
Burn and Destroy
People are so intent on preserving that they’re told that they will destroy al that is not of their own. They’re not looking forward to a meld or a reason. They don’t realize that learning is not a disease but is freedom.
Are our minds all shut to difference because we feel threatened? Insecure? Doubt? We need to secure the worth in all traditions. You see, it is key to our very own existence.
Growth is not change
Traditions and beliefs are meant to grow, not freeze in time. They’re supposed to help us keep grounded as we grow, help us ‘question’ as we grow. Help us decide what’s right and what’s wrong not just do what we’re told.
Open not closed, they are living breathing things.
Looking forward, it’s the future
You may have noticed the refrain from the use of  ‘religion.’ While religion can hold a useful place in society (in my belief) it shouldn’t be so stoic, so unforgiving. In fact, any religion should encourage peace and harmony, understanding and tolerance. It should be a living, breathing growing series of ideas and discussions, not a be-all and end-all way of thinking. Beware of who make it a means to control, for those who do are the evil, selfish ones.
Are we as complex as we would like to believe?
or are we as simple as we’re afraid of?
Birth, living and dying,
they are as meaningful as you make them to be.
As meaningful as YOU make them to be.
If you believe that the power of a greater being is within you, than have respect to yourself, and others around you, for the spirit is buried somewhere within them as well.
